Thursday American Tournament The next Thursday tournament will be held on 10th July. A notice is up i the club house for you to complete. It will take place at 13:00 but please arrive by 12:45 to sign in. Alternatively email Tom O'Kane at Tom@OKanes.plus.com Friday Evening Floodlit Tennis Tournament The ever successful evening of tennis followed by a meal will be starting soon. Teams of 4, each team comprising of graded players will compete for a prize. Food is served around 9:30 and the evening starts at 7pm. �4 per day covers all the expenses of balls, prizes and food. Good atmosphere and good fun. Put your names up for regular (4 times min) or occasional player - Notice board. Contact Denise or Chris Downs for further details Thursday Afternoon American Tournament Another afternoon social tournament is scheduled for Thur 6th September from 12:45 to 15:00 so get your names on the sheet on the notice board in the club house First Thursday Afternoon American Tournament The first Thursday afternoon American tournament was enjoyed by everyone. We contacted all who had promised to play 2 days beforehand but unfortunately one person still did not show and we had one cancellation on Thursday morning. We got a replacement for for the person who called but were still left with 11 players which was unfortunate. Tom O'Kane played in the threesome for the complete tournament and used 2 versus one. Eileen Tydeman won with 21 games and Jean Brown and Bob Morris werte joint second with 20 games. Next one is on Thursday 22nd June. American Tournaments There are usually 4-5 American tournaments throughout the year. These are very popular with up to 36 players. Check the News for impending tournaments. However, a mini American is held every Friday evening on 3 courts with food being served afterwards. Starts at 7pm sharp but contact Chris Downs beforehand |
