Welcome

Maidenhead Lawn Tennis Club is one of the oldest tennis clubs in the world dating back to 1879. Situated only 10 minutes from Junction 8/9 of the M4, the club has over 700 playing members and is an LTA Satellite Performance Club with Club Mark accreditation.

The Maidenhead Junior Easter Open is an LTA Grade 3 Sanctioned Tournament (Tournament Code - BER106) and will be held between Monday 2nd April and Saturday 7th April 2012.

This is the 23rd year the tournament has been held which, in the past, has attracted players from all over the country. Entry numbers have increased steadily over the past few years and this year's tournament will again include all three mini-tennis categories (red, orange and green) to cater for younger players in addition to the usual yellow ball events (12's 14's 16's and 18's). In addition to the boys and girls 14's and 18's doubles, this year the Maidenhead Junior Easter Open shall also include a 18 & under Mixed Doubles event, following feedback from last years event.

As a LTA Grade 3 Tournament all singles main draw events will count towards the LTA Summer Regional Tour Leaderboards.

The club itself has 6 tarmacadam all-weather courts and 6 porous acrylic courts. An additional 7 tarmacadam all-weather courts will be used at Newlands Girls School in the earlier rounds. Full changing facilities are available in the modern clubhouse and refreshments will be served all day with hot food available as well as snacks.

The Tournament Committee consists of: Chris Mann (Tournament Director), Sarah Tricks (Tournament Referee), Andrew Flynn (Entries Secretary), Mary Stanley, Brian Warren and Jo-Anne Downing.

Players can enter online on www.LTA.org.uk using the LTA Online Tournament Entry System. The closing date for singles entries shall be 12/03/2012 11:59 PM with doubles entries being accepted online until 26/03/2012 09:00 AM and onsite until 03/04/2012 04:00 PM. The withdrawal deadline for singles entries is 26/03/2012 09:00 AM.

All enquires prior to the closing deadline for entries should be directed to Andrew Flynn (Entries Secretary). A Tournament Prospectus can be found at the bottom of the page which contains lots of useful information about the tournament.

We invite your application and look forward to welcoming you to Maidenhead Lawn Tennis Club.
