The functions and duties of the Treasurer include:

To manage the finances of the club.

Financial Management
  • To ensure the MLTC Business Plan (forward forecast of budgets) contains sufficient funds to cover necessary maintenance, including sinking fund

  • Define and agree budgets with each of ACFC, PCC and SBCC for the year and ensure they are not exceeded

  • Consider and propose the next years subscription levels based upon the forward forecast of expenditure (maintenance and new programmes)

  • To play a leading role in decision making for capital expenditure programmes

  • Signatory to Bank Accounts


Maintain day to day bookkeeping
  • Collect cash from bar, telephone, sundry events

  • Pay creditors

  • Keep sufficient funds to honour direct debits etc


Run payroll
  • Administrator, bar assistant, cleaner, gardener

  • Year end Accounts

  • for presentation at the AGM and subsequent scrutiny by membership

  • arrange for accounts to be audited


Subscriptions
  • Liaise with administrator re renewals and queries

  • Insurance

  • Keep insurance up to date

  • negotiate settlement of claims

  • To ensure that appropriate documents are filed centrally

  • To operate in accordance with the current club rules and regulations
