The duties and functions of the Social secretary include:

To encourage and promote a good social atmosphere and environment

Arrange social (fun) tennis tournaments and other non-tennis events.

Promote a friendly and welcoming environment to all members

To co-ordinate all charitable work and events

Liaise with the match secretary and Club Administrator for court usage

Liaise with catering representative for events as appropriate

Prepare schedule of events, publicise and promote each event.

To ensure that all people dealing with juniors have been appropriately CRB checked or have completed self-declaration forms

To ensure that appropriate documents are filed centrally

To operate in accordance with the current club rules and regulations
