The duties and functions of the Chair of ACFC, PCC, SBCC include:
- To lead that committee by helping it agree a vision and strategy and then ensuring that actions are undertaken to achieve them.
- Arrange meetings and minutes of such as per the Club Rules and Regulations. Items which are sensitive or confidential should be indicated as such to the committee members. Publish and distribute the agenda 1 week prior to the meeting, publish and distribute a full set of minutes to all committee members and an abridged set of minutes for the club members which excludes all confidential and sensitive issues
- Ensure issues which affect other committee(s) are agreed with them or via the Executive Management Committee
- Define and agree budgets with the Treasurer for the year and ensure they are not exceeded
- Attend the Executive Committee meetings and represent the views of your committee as per the Club Rules and Regulations
- Ensure another member attends any EMC meeting that they, or the other representative, cannot attend
- To co-opt appropriate club members on to their committee as necessary to undertake specific tasks
- Ensure appropriate, timely, communication articles (newsletters, web site etc) are produced
- To ensure that appropriate documents are filed centrally
- To operate in accordance with the current club rules and regulations
