Court Allocation Due to the large membership court allocations are in force at all times when demand exceeds availability. Court Rules and allocation are on display in the clubhouse opposite the telephone. National knockout league matches and county league matches have top priority. During Club nights and group sessions courts must be vacated at the end of the set. At times other than ‘Club Nights/Group Sessions’ courts can be booked 7 days in advance by the category having priority – generally for 1 1/2hr periods. If still available 4 days in advance they may be booked by other categories of player. Court Bookings must be within designated periods. Club or private competitions must be booked in advance under the standard booking rules.
Clothing Whilst on court, members, visitors and clients of the coaching staff are required to wear recognised tennis clothing subject to the following: T-shirts are not considered as recognised tennis clothing unless specifically sold as such. Footwear must be rubber soled, without raised heels, spikes, studs, cleats, bars or deep ribbing and be sold as suitable for use on the court surfaces at the club
Shoe Tags These are issued to all playing members and MUST be worn or produced on demand as proof of membership. Members may be asked to vacate the court if a shoe tag cannot be produced.
Visitors Visitors may be introduced by playing members who must sign the visitors book and pay a fee of £3 (juniors £2) to Keith Ashby, the bar person, a committee member or coach. Coaches coaching visitors are required to pay £2 pr adult and £1 per junior per session.
