Welcome to The Club! This is where to find information about the club itself - general information on this page, more specific information on its subsidiary pages (left). See also Player Information under Playing. You should find the information you need under Joining
>>The Club Maidenhead Tennis Club is a private club owned by its members but is open to anyone to join. Fortunately (or unfortunately) it is a very popular club and there are so many people who want to join that we have to wait for someone to leave before we can take on any more than our self imposed limit of 500 adult members and 200 juniors. Unavoidably, there is a short waiting list to join but the time period can vary. Email our club administrator, Keith Ashby for up to date information about that. We are constantly trying to find new ways of allowing more players a chance to play.
There are two public courts at Oaken Grove, just 500 metres to the north of the club at the end of All Saints Ave which are administered by the club. These can be hired on payment of a fee of £5 per hour to the club's administrator, Keith Ashby. There is a booking folder on the telephone table inside the club’s entrance hall
>>Making Contacts Club Nights are an excellent opportunity to get to know other members.
back to top Coaching Coaching is available on an individual or group basis. The coaching programme is under the direction of the Head Coach, Nigel Mann. Details of the existing adult and junior programmes can be found on the coaching notice board or under Coaching
Communications News is circulated by 'MLTCNewsflash' email on an ad hoc basis.
 >>Club Administrator Club Administrator, Keith Ashby (right) is usually at the club on: Mondays : 9am - 12noon Tuesdays or Thursdays : 7pm - 9pm Wednesdays : 9am - 12noon
Members should not hesitate to approach committee members or Keith if they require any specific information.

Wimbledon Tickets The club is affiliated to the LTA, a benefit of which is an allocation of Wimbledon tickets. A ballot for tickets is held and those wishing to enter should place their name on the list which is place on the notice board in April each year.
The Members There are approximately 500 senior and 200 junior members. The club has no minimum playing standard but some playing restrictions are placed on applicants graded as beginners. The Club is a member of the L.T.A. club ratings scheme which means that all new members are 'played in' by a club coach and allocated an individual rating. Full details of the rating system and how to improve your rating are found on the tournament notice board. Member's ratings are published in the telephone directory
Teams The club has a large number of teams playing in the Berkshire, and Aegon British Tennis, leagues. Anyone interested in playing (usually with a rating of 8.2 or above) should contact the relevant team captain (mens, ladies, veterans or junior). More >>
Social Tennis & Coaching The club welcomes players of all standards and a comprehensive coaching programme is provided by our team of highly qualified coaches. More on Club Tennis and Coaching
