Maidenhead lawn tennis club is one of the oldest tennis clubs in the world, founded in 1879 in Kidwells Park (we know this from early headed notepaper). The oldest minute book in existence dates from 1911. It was 1929 when the club moved to All Saints' Avenue where it can still be found, not far from the Windsor Castle pub See the honours board for details of past tournament winners. |
