21st August 2011: HSBC ROAD TO WIMBLEDON TOURNAMENTHedley and Lant Out Of Wimbledon Finals Sadly, George Hedley and Chloe Lant went out to tough opposition in the semis, bringing their first experience of the Wimbledon turf to a very creditable end, George succumbing 6-3, 6-3 to Number 4 seed Mason Recci and Chloe to number 1 seed, doubles team mate and fellow Berkshire girl Hannah Brett 6-3, 6-4. Nevertheless great performances from the two 14 year olds who are well and truly launched on great tennis careers. Well Done, Chloe and George! Tournament results: William Bisset of Wiltshire beat Mason Recci 6-4, 4-6, 7-5 in one of the best boys finals the tournament has ever witnessed. Hannah Brett beat Olivia Noble 4-6, 6-1, 6-4.
